January 13, 2010 by admin99 · Leave a Comment
Merriam-Webster dictionary define insulation as “The process to separate from conducting bodies by means of nonconductors so as to prevent transfer of electricity, heat, or sound.”
How does garage door insulation directly affect us? That is a common question from a person who owns a garage door may ask. Insulations help regulate the temperature of your garage. These are very important especially if you have a spare bedroom or a work area inside your garage. These affect us with our energy consumption since a well insulated garage will require lesser energy to maintain suitable temperature than the one without any insulation under extreme climate may it be hot or cold. Another benefit you can gain in insulating your garage door is that you can avoid cold starting your vehicle which could be very harsh on diesel engine power vehicle. Insulation act as a sound damper, it keeps the outside noises out so you won’t be bothered while working inside your garage.

Many people nowadays overlooked the importance of a garage door. Some even took them for granted, not noticing that it is a vital part of our home. It is what keeps our cars, trucks, household tools (hammer, saw and etc.) or any motor vehicle safe when we are sound asleep at night or away for a trip.
Garage Doors are the largest door your house will have, usually around 9` to 16` wide and 7` to 8` tall. Garage Doors are made out of different materials but the most common are made out of steel, aluminum, wood and vinyl. They come with many designs, the most common are sectional, upward-acting, and self-storing. They can be opened either manually or with a garage door opener.
